Robert Collins

Robert “Matt” Collins is a Community Engagement Specialist with the Department of Public Health, covering Richland, Kershaw, Lexington, and Newberry counties. Matt acts as a liaison between DPH and various community coalitions, working to protect, promote, and improve the health and well-being of everyone in South Carolina.

He serves on the Core Team, Active Communities Subcommittee, and Policy Subcommittee for Live Healthy Richland County. Matt's approach to Public Health involves encouragement of personal responsibility and ownership, while also pushing for an improved built environment for individuals to implement proper lifestyle changes. He aims to support his colleagues, lend a listening ear, and ask the right questions to provide the best service to our community.
